CHP Programs Overview

CHP Quick Links:
CHP offers a comprehensive array of health care and related services.

We provide high quality care for infants, children, adults and elders who reside in South Berkshire County and the surrounding areas, regardless of income or insurance status. Since our beginning more than 30 years ago, we have grown from providing health care for the children of a handful of needy families to serving more than 5,000 children and adults annually.

Community Health Programs is proud to say that all of our programs and services were designed at the urging of the people we serve and are free or based on one's ability to pay. CHP has become a trusted and valued member of the Berkshire County community by providing quality care, and by respecting every client's privacy and confidentiality.

We serve many people each year who are able to pay for our care and we serve many who cannot afford to pay - everybody receives the same high quality care from CHP.

We offer a wide range of health care and related services: from a complete medical facility housed at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA, to nutrition counseling for all, including the WIC program (Women, Infants and Children), playgroups and family support, an early intervention service for children with disabilities, a mobile health screening team that travels far and wide to your community, and participation with regional providers to ensure that all aspects of our area's health care needs are met.

In addition, referrals round out the safety net that CHP provides to our neighbors in Berkshire County. Throughout the year, our experienced staff members interact with more than one thousand people needing help with a wide range of issues - from employment training to budgeting, from getting food stamps to infant care, and even voter registration.
