CHP Nutrition Services

CHP Nutrition Services provide the community with comprehensive nutrition and wellness programs for all ages.

CHP Nutrition Services offers clinical nutrition counseling. Individual counseling is available for:
  • infant feeding
  • breastfeeding support
  • toddler feeding
  • development of healthy family behaviors
  • food allergies
  • celiac disease
  • weight management
  • Failure to Thrive
  • sensory feeding issues
  • adolescent body image/eating issues
  • eating disorders

We offer a special program in diabetes nutrition education and management as well as cooking classes for people with diabetes.

As part of CHP WIC (Women, Infants and Children), we provide nutrition services to eligible families.

Through the Apples to Zucchini Program (A to Z), WIC families are eligible to receive locally grown food. A to ZFamilies receive Community Supported Agriculture shares at local farms, as well as cooking classes and hands-on nutrition-based education in our adult- and child-friendly kitchens.

CHP Nutrition Services is part of the team involved in working with the public schools to develop a Wellness Policy in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District and to create a Nutrition Curriculum for the classroom.

CHP Nutrition Services is funded by the Massacusetts Partnership for Healthy Communities, a program of The Medical Foundation, Inc., participant fees, third party revenue, and other grants and donations.
