CHP Family Support Network is designed to bring young children, parents and caregivers together to establish a connection to each other and to available support services. Activities, events and classes provide fun hands-on learning opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the community. We create a safe, fun, welcoming environment for all families with children under the age of 6 or parents who are expecting.
Families are welcome to use the Playroom, Clothing Exchange and Lending Library at the Family Services Building, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Playroom - The CHP Family Services Building has large, safe playrooms with age-appropriate toys and activities for parents, caregivers and children to enjoy. Families are invited to use the playroom during business hours when the space is not in use by one of our registration required activities.
Clothing Exchange - Free clothing (sizes newborn through seven), books, and toys are available at the CHP Family Services Building during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Donations in excellent condition are gratefully accepted. Please do not leave donations outside the CHP facility after business hours.
Lending Library - CHP Family Support Network has a large selection of books covering a variety of topics related to parenting and family life that may be borrowed. Some books are available in Spanish. Materials may be checked out during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Playgroups encourage young children (infant to age 5 years), and the adults who care for them, to meet with one another in a loosely structured group setting. The CHP Family Support Network sponsors eight weekly playgroups that meet throughout southern Berkshire County. This enables families to make connections in their home towns as well as neighboring areas. The playgroup schedule typically follows the school calendar with a modified summer schedule offered during July and August. Locations and times are listed in the CHP Master Calendar.

Children’s creative movement and art classes as well as music events and field trips are offered throughout the year. Check the CHP Master Calendar for upcoming activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all CHP Family Support Network programs.
Play N Learn is a free parent/child preschool program sponsored by CHP Family Support Network. All aspects of the curriculum focus on the development of the whole child. Our program integrates art, music, physical activity and play in a loving environment helping children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Play N Learn is held weekly at the CHP Family Services Building and follows the local public school calendar. See the CHP Master Calendar for specific days and times.
Kids’ Kitchen is a free cooking class for children 2.5 - 5 yrs focusing on healthy food choices for everyday. Our nutritionist guides these children and their caregivers in an exploration of healthy food choices and preparation using all of their senses. Classes are held weekly at the CHP Family Services Building. See the CHP Master Calendar for specific days and times.

A variety of workshops and lectures are offered each month in addition to ongoing support and discussion groups. Inquire about free child care during programs for parents. All programs currently being offered are listed in the CHP Master Calendar.
Berkshire Taconic Adoptive Families Group gather to have our kids play with other adoptive families, while parents discuss whatever is on their minds regarding adoption, raising children, or to listen to special guest speakers. This group meets each month at the CHP Family Services Building.

Information on family life is available at The CHP Family Services Building. Staff members can help families find relevant literature and access appropriate resources in the community. We can provide referrals for numerous services such as: child care options, child care vouchers, utility assistance, housing assistance, health and dental care, child development and supplemental food. Information may be available in Spanish.
