Playgroups allow children, and the adults who accompany them, to meet one another in a loosely structured group that includes circle time and a snack. The Family Network sponsors eight weekly playgroups that meet at The Family Center in Great Barrington and in other South Berkshire County towns. Playgroups follow the school calendar, with outdoor playgroups offered during July and August. Locations and times are listed in the 
Free clothing (sizes newborn through seven), books, and toys are available at The Family Center during 
A variety of workshops and lectures are offered each month, in addition to ongoing support and discussion groups. Child care is always available during programs for parents. All programs currently being offered are listed in the 
A weekly Story Hour is held at the New Marlborough Library. Play and Learn is a preschool class for 3 and 4-year-olds and their parents or caregivers. Creative movement, art, music, water and gym activities, and field trips are offered periodically. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all Family Network programs. The Family Center has a large selection of children’s videos, as well as books, audio tapes and videos covering a wide variety of topics related to parenting and family life that can be borrowed from the Lending Library. Some books and videos are available in Spanish. Materials may be checked out during 
Parents, caregivers and children are welcome to use the 
The Family Center has a large, safe playroom, with age-appropriate toys and activities for parents, caregivers and children to enjoy. The Family Center also has a fenced-in playground with outdoor activities for young children. Families are invited to use the playroom during 
Information on family life is available at The Family Center. Staff members can help families find relevant literature and access appropriate resources in the community. Information is available in Spanish. Staff members are available to offer emotional support and to help families with transportation to appointments and Family Network programs.
