Peter Stanton, Director of Nutrition Services
Peter Stanton joined Community Health Services (CHP) in April of 2006 to work in the Women, Infant and Children’s (WIC) program. Since then, he has served CHP as senior nutritionist for WIC programs and as a nutrition consultant for long-term care patients. He was appointed to his current position as the director of nutrition services in October, 2006.
Prior to joining CHP, Mr. Stanton taught nutrition awareness and introductory nutrition courses and led workshops on nutrition and environmental nutrition. Mr. Stanton has also worked as a nutrition counselor for pregnant and postpartum women, and has worked as a member of a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans for people living with AIDS.
Mr. Stanton is a licensed dietician who earned his Master of Science degree in nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle. He has also completed graduate courses in nutrition methodology and epidemiology at Columbia Teachers College and at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
